8/124 Barn, 80 yards west of 14/6/67 Church of St. Bartholomew

GV II*

Barn. C15 with C17 and C18 alterations. Timber framed on red and blue brick plinth, weatherboard cladding, brick infill to exposed frame on ends. Plan tiled roof, hipped with gablet to left end, gable to right, sweeping down over aisles on north and south side. Seven framed bays with central, recessed, full height wagon doors. Blocked plank door to left. Further door to left hand return. Front Interior: arcaded posts with dovetailed joints between tie beams and arcade plate. Lateral braced crown posts. Evidence surviving to show originally that both ends of the roof were hipped.
