Description
West Flexford House is a house dating from the early 17th century. It has a timber frame that has been refaced in colourwashed stucco, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high on a plinth, featuring a plat band above the ground floor. There is a ridge stack to the left, a rear ridge stack also to the left, and a large corbel-topped stack to the right of the centre.
The front of the house is regular, with pilaster piers on either side of the bays, which have moulded capitals at the plat band and eaves level. Each floor has four 3-light casement windows, which are from the 20th century. A central two-storey porch features pilasters that wrap around the re-entrant angles of the house, topped with a shaped gable. Above the porch is a clock face over a "Venetian" window on the first floor, with an arched entrance below.
At the rear, there are three gabled bays that are set at right angles to the house, and there is an additional glazed door in the right-hand return front.
