Description
Passengers Farm House is a former hall house dating from the 16th century, with alterations from the 17th century. It was extended to the right in the mid-18th century and restored in the 20th century. The building features exposed timber framing on the first floor with brick infill, while the ground floor is underbuilt in brick, including a brick extension to the right. The roof is plain tiled and hipped at the left end.
The house has two storeys and includes a tall, inserted stack to the left of centre with a corbelled top, as well as a front end stack on the gabled wing to the right. It consists of four framed bays, with a projecting gabled stair-vice to the right and a gabled wing at the right end. There are three casement windows on the first floor and three below, along with one leaded casement window in the stair-vice. The entrance features half-glazed doors in a gabled porch located to the left of centre.
At the rear, there is exposed curved bracing on the first floor, and a glazed extension is present at the left end.
