Description

No. 119 High Street is a house with a shop below, dating from the early 18th century and altered in the 19th century. The building is colourwashed and rendered, featuring a hipped plain-tiled roof that is positioned end on to the street. It has three storeys, with a cornice above the ground floor and a bold modillioned eaves cornice. There is a stack to the left. Each floor has one tripartite glazing-bar sash window, and the second-floor window is flanked by bolection moulded plaster panels within a lugged architrave surround. Pilasters on either side of the first-floor window support a shallow cornice hood above. The shop front below is made of plate glass.
