Description

This barn, located 40 yards behind Tilthams Farm House, dates from the mid-18th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick and sandstone base, with tarred weatherboard cladding and a half-hipped roof covered in plain tiles. The barn is rectangular in shape and consists of five framed bays. It has central opposing waggon doors and a pentice extension on the front right, which is rendered with corrugated asbestos. The frame includes diagonal bracing. This structure is included in the listing for its group value with the nearby farm house.
