Description
Lower Trunley Heath Farm House is a house with an attached cattle byre, dating from the early 16th century and extended in the 19th century. It has a timber frame clad in red brick, with the single-storey extension colourwashed and rendered below, featuring tile hanging above on the gabled end. The roof is plain tiled, half hipped to the rear and hipped to the front right. The building is two storeys high with two framed bays.
On the entrance front, there are two 19th-century casements on each floor, with those on the ground floor set under cambered heads. To the left, there is a single-storey wing that includes another casement and a planked door, while a wing extends at right angles to the rear. The main range has an inserted multiple stack at the centre of the ridge and one casement on each floor on the right-hand side, along with one first-floor casement to the left.
Inside, the framing is mainly visible on the ceiling, featuring a central spine beam supported by a rough carved corbel inscribed "1702 R.E.". There is a double deep brick fireplace with arched wooden lintels.
