Description
The Cricketers Public House is a public house that dates back to the 16th century at the rear and has a front that was added in the mid-18th century. It features a timber frame with red brick infill at the rear and whitewashed brick cladding on a rendered plinth at the front, topped with a plain tiled roof and tile-hung gable ends. The building is two storeys high with a plat band over the ground floor. It has end ridge stacks with corbelled tops. The facade is regular, displaying two 2-light casement windows on the first floor, along with an arched panel to the right of centre that includes a keystone and impost blocks. Below, there are two windows and a half-glazed door situated to the right of centre. There are also 20th-century flat roof extensions at both ends, with barred windows on the projecting left side.
