Description

Park Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, which was significantly extended in the late 19th century in a half-timbered style. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with whitewashed brick infill and plain tiled roofs that are hipped at the rear. The building has a large compound ridge stack at the center and additional stacks at the rear on both the left and right sides. The layout is T-shaped with a lobby entry, and it stands two storeys high. There are three framed bays with corner bracing and leaded casement windows. The central entrance includes a 19th-century planked door and a half-glazed door leading to a gabled half-timbered porch supported by brick walls. The left side of the building has tile-hung gables and 20th-century extensions. Inside, the framing is exposed.
