Description
The Plough Public House is an 18th-century establishment located in Cobham, within the Borough of Elmbridge. It features a timber-framed core that is clad in red brick, set on a brick-rendered plinth. The building has a parallel range with plain tiled roofs and a valley stack situated on the right side. The main front of the pub is oriented at right angles to the street and consists of two storeys, complete with wooden eaves moulding.
On the first floor, there are three vertical glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor windows are topped with gauged heads. The central entrance is a planked door that is sheltered by a flat hood supported by brackets. To the left of this entrance, there is a more recent 20th-century door located in a square brick porch that has a hipped roof. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension at the left end of the building, which includes an end stack.
