Description
Wilcote Manor is a house dating from the late 16th century to the 17th century, constructed from colourwashed limestone rubble. The building features two buttresses at the front and has a gabled stone slate roof with a stone ridge stack on the right and both brick ridge and end stacks. It has a three-unit plan with a cross-wing on the left side. The manor is two storeys high with an attic and has a five-window range, which includes the gable end of the cross-wing. There is a 20th-century porch to the left. The windows consist of timber lintels over 20th-century casements, except for an early to mid-18th century sash window with thick glazing bars located to the right of centre and a Venetian sash window to the right. To the right of the main structure is an L-shaped range made of similar materials, also featuring stone ridge stacks. Inside, there are stop-chamfered beams, although only partial inspection has been conducted.
