Description

Grange Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is built of coursed squared marlstone and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick and limestone-ashlar stacks. The building is L-shaped with added ranges and has two storeys plus an attic. The front consists of the gable wall of the main range, accompanied by a short wing to the right, which is further extended by a lower range, and a 20th-century range projecting to the extreme right.

The gable wall displays aligned leaded casements with four, three, and two lights, all set under flat arches, along with a two-light stone-mullioned cellar window. The short wing has a two-light casement above a flat-arched former doorway, which is now a window, and features a rounded bread-oven projection immediately to the right. The left side of the main range has additional flat-arched windows with renewed casements. The main range is topped with gable parapets that have projecting kneelers, while the wing includes an ashlar gable stack. The interior has not been inspected.
