Description

House. Built in the early 18th century, Lyndhurst is constructed from coursed squared marlstone and coursed marlstone and limestone rubble with wooden lintels, and has a Stonesfield-slate roof with stone and brick stacks. Originally a single-unit dwelling, it was later extended to two units. The front has two windows. The later section on the right features a central 4-panel door with a top light and renewed 2-light casements. To the left is an earlier bay with 2-light casements. Roof stacks are located to the right of each section, with the left-hand stack having a rendered stone plinth. The interior was not inspected. The building is included on the list for group value.
