Description
Old Farm Cottage and the attached stable is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick gable stacks. The building has a T-plan and stands two storeys tall. The symmetrical front has three windows, with a central doorway set in an ashlar porch that has a basket arch, projecting keyblock, and imposts. Above the doorway is a 2-light casement, while the outer bays contain 3-light casements, all featuring projecting keyblocks. The shallow-pitched roof has gable parapets with moulded projecting kneelers. At the rear, there is a lower wing with leaded casements and a projecting chimney on the gable wall, along with a stone porch located at the angle with the front range. The attached stable on the left has a steeper roof with a gable parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
