Description

This is a house, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is located in the West End of Witney. The original construction used coursed limestone rubble, but the front was later rendered with stucco in the late 19th century. The roof is covered in gabled concrete tiles, and there is a brick end stack. The building follows a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. It has a two-window front. A central 20th-century door is present, and to the left is a plank door. The windows are late 19th-century two-pane sashes. Two gabled roof dormers are visible. The interior and rear of the property were not inspected, but are likely to contain features of interest. The building’s listing acknowledges its group value.
