Description
The Yews and the adjoining garage range is a house and subsidiary structure built in the early to mid 19th century. It features limestone ashlar and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, topped by stone-slate roofs with brick gable stacks. The building likely has a central-stair plan and consists of two storeys plus an attic.
The front of the house is symmetrical with three windows. The first floor has unhorned four-pane sash windows set beneath stone lintels, while the ground floor features canted wooden bay windows flanking the former entrance, which now has a matching sash window. The roof is adorned with gable parapets.
To the left, there is a lower three-bay range that has segmental-arched two-light casements above large garage doors. The narrow gap between the two ranges has been infilled and now contains the main entrance below a small-pane casement. The interior has not been inspected.
