Description
This is a pair of cottages, likely built in the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. They are constructed from coursed and dressed rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. The cottages feature a large chimney on the left side and a wall-face chimney situated between them. The buildings are two storeys high, with No 1 also having an attic and a gabled dormer. Each cottage has one window. No 1 includes a continuous string course over the ground floor with pendant drips, similar to those found at Falkland Hall. The first-floor window has a raised flat surround with a key and is lowered to accommodate a small casement; the ground and first-floor windows have 20th-century casements. No 2 has a similar first-floor window that is partially blocked for a smaller casement, and on the ground floor, there is a casement window with a wooden lintel, but it lacks a string course. Each cottage has a plain doorway located to the right.
