Description
This small house, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately 20 meters southeast of Leys Field Barn. It is constructed from coursed marlstone and limestone rubble, featuring ashlar dressings, and has a Stonesfield-slate roof with ashlar and brick stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high.
The front has three windows, with the two bays on the right projecting slightly. These bays include a central pointed-segmental arched doorway and two-light stone-mullioned windows, except for a single-light window to the right of the doorway. All openings are adorned with labels. The roof features gable parapets with projecting kneelers and an ashlar stack to the left, which has a plinth and moulded cornice. The bay to the left has been raised to two storeys and includes plain casements and a second doorway, both with wooden lintels, as well as a brick gable stack. The rear of the house has small lattice windows with labels. The interior has not been inspected.
