Description
Dyer's Hill House is a large house with an early 19th century facade that covers an earlier building. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble and has a slate roof. The house features a two-span plan and is two storeys high with a three-window range. There are three steps leading up to a mid-19th century porch supported by two Doric columns, which has a plain entablature and a moulded cornice. The panelled half-glazed door includes an overlight with rectilinear glazing bars. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, set beneath flat lintels that have keyblocks. The building has four ashlar chimneys. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have vaulted cellars. The house was formerly known as The Poplars.
