Description

Giernalls Farm Cottage is a house located in Middleton, dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with a stone stack at the right end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a two-window range. The central entrance has a 20th-century door and 20th-century casement windows above it. There is a 20th-century porch at the rear. To the right, there is a 19th-century service range that has been remodeled in the 20th century and includes a 20th-century porch. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams and winder stairs that are located next to the stack on the right.
