Description

This granary, located approximately 20 meters east of High Cogges Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century. It is built from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a pyramidal stone slate roof featuring a ball finial. The structure has a square plan and consists of two storeys with a one-bay range. It features cambered stone lintels above a 19th-century plank door and window opening. Stone steps lead to a plank loft door on the right side wall, which has a round-arched kennel beneath it. Inside, the granary retains an old barn with a mid-19th century king-post truss.
