Description

The western of a pair of gatepiers, located approximately 20 meters northwest of the Old Rectory, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed from marlstone ashlar and features a square shape with rusticated sides and a shallow pyramidal cap. This gatepier is part of a pair that marks the entrance to the Old Rectory and is included for its group value.
