Description
Westhall Cottage and Pool House are two houses dating from the late 18th century. The main house features coursed stone rubble and a slate roof with stone end stacks. It is three stories high and has a two-window range. The central entrance has a 20th-century six-panel door, which is topped by a stone lintel with a keystone and a flat stone hood supported by stone brackets. All openings have 2-light casements, with those on the ground and first floors featuring stone lintels with keystones.
Adjacent to the left is an early 19th-century house, constructed from coursed squared stone and topped with a stone slate roof and stone end stacks. This house is two stories with an attic and has a three-window range. It includes 3-light casements with segmental stone heads on the ground and first floors, as well as three segmental-headed half-dormers with 2-light casements. Access to the rear is provided, but the interiors of both houses have not been inspected.
