Description
Pond Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled concrete tile roof. The right end has a 19th-century brick stack, while the left end has an external stone stack finished in brick. The house has a two-unit plan, is two storeys tall with an attic, and has a two-window range.
The central entrance has a timber lintel above a late 17th-century to early 18th-century plank door, which is sheltered by a hipped stone state hood with a moulded cornice. There are timber lintels over the flanking 20th-century windows and over the late 17th-century cross windows on the first floor, which have leaded lights. A 20th-century casement window is located in the roof dormer.
The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have chamfered beams and a winder staircase.
