Description
The Old School House is an early 18th-century school house that has been converted into a house. It features a red brick plinth and grey brick with red brick dressings, topped with an old plain-tile roof and brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range. The central entrance has a six-pane door with an overlight and a flat hood supported by brackets. On either side of the entrance are three-light wood mullion and transom windows with cambered brick heads. There is a flat brick band between the ground and first floors. The first floor has a wood cross-window in the center and three-light wood mullion and transom windows on the left and right. A brick dentil cornice runs along the eaves. The building has hipped full dormers on the left and right, each with two-light wood mullion and transom windows. The interior has not been inspected. There is also a late 19th-century school room wing to the right, which has been converted into a dwelling.
