Description
Howes Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. The ground floor is made of painted brick, while the first floor features roughcast with some irregular timber-framing on the right side. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a 20th-century rebuilt brick chimney located to the left of the center. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has a four-window range. The ground floor has two-light casements, except for a three-light casement on the left, while the first floor has two-light casements, except for another three-light casement on the left. There is a cross-gable to the right of the center that includes a two-light casement. The first floor has rendered panels with stencil floral decoration on the left and left of center. A plank door leads to the cross-wing at the right rear. The interior has not been inspected.
