Description
Cross Trees Cottage is a house that likely dates from the mid-16th century. It features a painted rendered plinth and small timber-framing on the right with painted brick infill. The left side has large timber-framing also with painted brick infill and arched bracing above. The roof is thatched and hipped to the right, with brick ridge stacks located to the left of center and to the right. The cottage is a single storey with an attic and has a 4-bay range. There is a plank door at the center topped by a thatched hood. To the left, there is a 15-pane window, and to the right, a horizontal sash window with shutters. The cottage also features two swept dormers with horizontal sashes. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
