Description

The Retreat is a house dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century alterations to the front. The building features a rendered exterior, likely over stone rubble on the ground floor, while the upper part is large timber-framing with rendered infill. It has an old plain-tile roof and a brick stack on the right side. The house is a single storey with an attic and has a two-window range. There is a four-panel part-glazed door to the right, which is sheltered by a lean-to hood. The ground floor has 20th-century four-light mullion and transom windows on the left and in the center. To the left and right of the center, there are two gabled half-dormers, each with two-light wood mullion and transom windows. The interior has not been inspected.
