Description
No. 44 High Street is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from the early 18th century, with later alterations. It features a rendered plinth and painted brickwork, topped by an old plain-tile hipped roof with brick lateral stacks at the rear. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range. There is a 20th-century door located to the right of the centre, which has a segmental brick head above it. On the ground floor, there are early 20th-century public house windows on the left and right, also with segmental brick heads and acid-etched glass. The first floor has three-light casements on the left and right. A brick dentil course runs along the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
