Description
Walton House is a house located on Church Street in Sutton Courtenay, dating from the early 19th century, with possible alterations made by Walter Cave around 1913. The building is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers in Flemish bond and has an old plain-tile hipped roof with lead ridges, along with brick end stacks. It is two stories high and has a three-window range. To the left of the center, there is a six-panel door with a flat hood supported by brackets. The ground floor has three-light casements on the left, center, and right, which have cambered rubbed brick heads and leaded lights. The first floor also features three-light casements with leaded lights. The eaves are bracketed. There is probably an early 20th-century addition to the right, designed in a similar style, which is a two-story, single-bay range. The interior has not been inspected. The house is included for its group value.
