GV II

House and attached Post Office. c.1885. Brick plinth; timber-framing with rendered brick infill; complex C20 plain-tile roof; brick internal stack to centre. "Old English" style. Single storey and attic; 2-window range. C20 three-light casements to ground floor. Attic is jettied, having 2 cross-gables with C20 two-light casements. Plank door to porch on left return. Interior not inspected. Post office to rear in same style. History: built c.1885 as part of Lord Wantage's model village at Lockinge.
