Description
The building is a house with an attached Post Office, constructed around 1885. It features a brick plinth and timber-framing with rendered brick infill, topped by a complex 20th-century plain-tile roof and a central brick internal stack. Designed in an "Old English" style, the structure is single storey with an attic and has a two-window range. The ground floor has 20th-century three-light casements, while the attic is jettied and includes two cross-gables with 20th-century two-light casements. There is a plank door leading to a porch on the left side. The interior has not been inspected. The Post Office at the rear is built in the same style. This building was constructed as part of Lord Wantage's model village at Lockinge.
