Description

This milestone, located approximately 70 metres to the west of the turning to Great Coxwell, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of rectangular-sectioned stone with a chamfered top. The south face features clear seriffed lettering that reads: "LXXII. Miles from. London. Farringdon. II. Highworth. IV". There is also a bench mark on the top.
