Description

The front garden wall to Danes House is a garden wall that likely dates from the early to mid-18th century, coinciding with the construction of the house. It is made of red brick with blue headers arranged in Flemish bond, resting on a plinth of rubblestone and brick. The right end of the wall has been rebuilt in red brick. The wall stands approximately 1.5 meters high and features a chamfered stone coping. There is a pedestrian gateway near the left end and a wider gateway on the right, both flanked by piers, with additional piers at the right end. This wall is included for its group value with the house.
