Description

This milestone, located on the east side of Oxford Road in Radley, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of granite and is inscribed with the distances to Oxford (4 miles) and Abingdon (2 miles). The road itself was turnpiked in 1736, which is part of its historical significance.
