LONGWORTH SOUTHMOOR SU39NE 3/154 New House Farmhouse

  • II Farmhouse. Roughcast over coursed limestone rubble exposed to rear; smooth plastered quoins and window and door dressings; stone slate roof; brick stack. L-plan, 2-unit front range. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Late C19 six-panelled central door under flat hood with carved brackets. Late C19 two-light casements; lunette in blocked window over door. Hipped roof; ridge stack. Similar windows to one-bay side walls. To rear left is early C18 one-storey and attic, 3-window range of coursed limestone rubble, roughcast to left with half-hipped concrete tile roof and brick ridge stack; timber lintels over C20 casements; two-storey stair turret to right adjoining rear wall of main range. One-storey one-bay roughcast extension with hipped stone slate roof and C20 plank door to rear. Interior not inspected.
