Description

ST.HELEN WITHOUT BARROW ROAD SU49NE (North side) Shippon 8/124 Nos.62 and 66 GV II House. Mid C18. C20 alterations. Uncoursed limestone rubble; gabled old tile roof; brick symmetrical end stacks. 2-unit plan, 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 3-window range. Segmental brick arch over late C19 plank door with overlight. C20 flat brick arches over C20 ground-floor windows: timber lintels over first-floor leaded cross windows flanking single leaded light. Raised storey band; gabled roof dormers with 2-light leaded casements. Rear left wing of similar materials and of one storey and attic. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest. Included for group value.
