Description
Vine Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later additions. It features roughcast over limestone rubble and has a gabled old tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. There is a flat hood over a 18th-century six-panelled door to the left, along with early 19th-century three-light casements and an eight-pane sash window. To the left, there is a later 18th-century extension made of similar materials, which is a one-storey, one-bay range. The rear wing was remodeled in the 20th century. Inside, the room to the left has stop-chamfered beams and spit-racks above an open fireplace, while the small parlour to the right features a mid-18th-century panelled dado. The first floor has not been inspected.
