Description
This is an early 19th-century building on the north side of Market Place. It is constructed of red brick with grey panels, and has a channelled stucco ground floor with a band above. The roof is slated and hipped. The building has three storeys and four windows, with blank panels situated between the outer windows and the central two. The windows are sash windows with vertical glazing bars. The recessed, round-headed doorways are topped with plain fanlights. The building occupies a prominent position at the western end of the Market Place.
Numbers 50 and 52, together with Numbers 62 to 66, form a group with Numbers 35 to 63 on the opposite side of the Market Place, including buildings at the rear of Number 37, and with the Town Hall.
