Description

The pavement from the junction with Market Place to number 36 is a 19th-century feature. It has a surface made of patterned bricks and is bordered by granite curb stones. This raised pavement and wall are part of a group that includes numbers 5 to 19 (odd), the South Oxfordshire Technical College Old School and Main Buildings, numbers 43 to 49 (odd), and the wall and gate piers of the former Paradise House. Additionally, it relates to Ancastle Cottage, numbers 2 to 36 (even), and the pavement in front of these properties, as well as the entrance walls, piers, gates, and the lower lodge of Friar Park.
