Description

No 61 Market Place is a Grade II listed building that was originally part of a single house with No 59. It features a red brick facade with grey headers, and a brick pilaster separates the two properties. There is a stucco band between the floors and a coved wood cornice, topped by an old tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two dormers and two windows. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, with those on the first floor having three lights. On the ground floor, there is a door and a carriageway entrance. This building, along with Nos 35 to 63 (odd), including the buildings at the rear of No 37, and the Town Hall, forms a group with Nos 50 and 52 and Nos 62 to 66 (even).
