Description
Henley Baptist Church, built in 1878 and formerly known as Henley Tabernacle, is constructed from silver grey brick with red brick dressings. The building features a gable end facing the street, topped with a stone eagle finial and stone kneelers. It includes one Gothic three-light window with stone tracery and a string course below. The ground floor has a two-light sash window set under an elliptical arch, alongside a Gothic doorway with a fanlight. This church is designed in a style similar to many other buildings in Henley and is an important part of the local street scene. It is part of a group that includes Nos 35 to 63 (odd), the Town Hall, Nos 50 and 52, and Nos 62 to 66 (even).
