  1. Early C19 facade to early C17 building, Stucco with entablature to parapet. Triple span slate roof. 2 storeys and 5 large old dormers behind parapet, 11 sashes in cased frames, not formal, all except 1 window with glazing bars. All ground floor windows with moulded architraves. Southern end has 3 former shop windows of traditional type, 2 square bays and 1 flat under bracketed cornice. All glazing bars. 4 doors with pilasters and entablatures; 6 panelled doors. At rear, earlier features visible, eg. some timber framing, C17 gable etc. Flint wall to No 102, Bell lane facade.

Nos 70 to 102 (even) with the building at the rear of Nos 70 and 72 form part of a group with Nos 93 and 95 opposite and with Nos 1 to 11 (odd) and l5 to 25 (odd) Denmark House, Elm House, Ruperts Elm, Ruperts Guard, White House, the Obelisk and No 30, Northfield End and with Tarry's Cottage, Bell Cottage and the Flat, Rupert's Lane.
