Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage, although the side gable is rendered and parts of the building are likely earlier in origin. It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings and an eaves cornice. The roof is steeply pitched, covered in old tiles, with a central chimney. A brick string course runs along the first floor. The cottage is two storeys high and has four bays. The first floor windows are two large sash windows, featuring moulded architraves and glazing bars, alongside a smaller 19th-century casement with a moulded frame. The ground floor has 19th-century casement windows with segmental arches and cambered head linings. A six-panelled door provides access. The cottage forms a group with the adjoining barn and the garden wall of 102 Bell Street.
