Description

This cottage, known as Syria, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It features rendered walls and a gabled roof covered with old tiles, along with a brick ridge stack. The building has a one-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and has a two-window range. The front has segmental arches over 19th-century four-panel doors and three-light casements, as well as two-light half-dormer casements. At the rear, there is a late 18th-century wing that is two storeys high and one bay wide, constructed with similar materials. Inside, there is a through-passage to the left, a chamfered beam, and original roof timbers.
