Description

Two cottages, located on the north side of Brook Street in Watlington. They date from the 17th century, although they were remodelled in the early 19th century. Originally timber-framed, they are now constructed of colourwashed brick over a rendered ground floor, with a gabled old tile roof featuring 20th-century tile bands and brick end stacks. The layout is of two units, with a two-storey, two-window front. The windows are late 19th or early 20th century three-over-four-light casements, and a small fire window is located on the right-hand side. There is a 20th-century plank door in each cottage. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
