Description

The Knowle is a house dating from the 18th century, located on the north side of Bakers Lane in Brightwell cum Sotwell. It features small timber framing with painted brick infill and a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the left. The building has brick ridge stacks on both the left and right sides. It is a single-storey structure with an attic and has a three-window range that is positioned at right angles to the street. There is a plank door located to the right of the centre, and the windows exhibit irregular fenestration with casements. The house includes gabled dormers on the left and right sides, as well as a swept dormer in the centre. The interior has not been inspected.
