Description
The main buildings at South Oxfordshire Technical College were constructed in the mid-19th century and are designed in the Jacobean style. The structure is made of knapped flint, featuring stone quoins and window dressings, topped with brown tiled roofs. The symmetrical facade on the south side includes three gables with kneelers on either side of the center. The building has one storey that rises to three in the center and features eight windows, most of which are three-light sashes. There are Tudor arched doorways, along with a central modern porch.
The raised pavement and wall are part of a group that includes Nos 5 to 19 (odd) of the South Oxfordshire Technical College Old School and Main Buildings, Nos 43 to 49 (odd), and the wall and gate piers of the former Paradise House. Ancastle Cottage, Nos 2 to 36 (even), and the pavement surface in front of these properties also contribute to this group, along with the entrance walls, piers, gates, and the lower lodge of Friar Park.
