Description
The gateway and flanking walls, located approximately 60 meters east of Forest Hill House, date from the early 17th century and are constructed of limestone ashlar. The structure features a semi-circular archway, which is now blocked, and is surrounded by a rectangular moulded stone frame with a shallow label. Above the archway is a broken segmental pediment that includes a central pedestal supporting a large multi-facetted finial. The archway is flanked by large scrolls that rise from a stone wall with a steep coping and apex roll, part of which borders the churchyard. This gateway was formerly an entrance to the now-demolished manor house.
