Description
Battlemoor Cottage is a small house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later extensions. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features timber lintels, topped by an old plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack. Originally a single-unit plan, it has been extended to two units. The building is one storey plus attics and has a two-window front. The entrance is a plank door located at the extreme left, accompanied by two-light casement windows in both bays and an altered two-light gabled dormer positioned to the left of center. A central stack aligns with a straight joint in the front wall, while the right gable is roughcast. The interior has not been inspected, but it likely served as a service range for the adjoining Battlemoor.
