Description
Sheridan Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, possibly with earlier origins. The structure is built of partly-coursed limestone rubble, with timber lintels, and has an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. It follows a three-unit plan, comprising one storey plus attics. The front elevation is irregular; a later bay of coursed rubble is located to the left, accompanied by a 20th-century rubble and tiled porch outshut slightly left of centre. This porch is flanked by two-light and three-light casement windows, and by gabled two-light half dormers in the roof. A three-light casement window is positioned at first floor level, set beneath the eaves on the extreme right-hand side. A rubble and tiled garage extension extends to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
