Description

Blacksmith's Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the south side of High Street in Chalgrove. The building is rendered and features a gabled thatched roof with a brick ridge stack. It has a three-unit plan and consists of one storey and an attic, with a three-window range. The front includes a 20th-century door and casement windows. Inside, there is a chamfered beam and a chamfered bressumer above the open fireplace. The first floor retains original roof timbers.
